I’ve been a headhunter for 16 years. I first met Sam in in 2010, one of the first candidates I met in person as I started my career. Whilst I’ve met and worked with hundreds of people over the years he always stuck with me as someone who was incredibly bright whilst also being hugely affable. Whilst we didn’t stay in touch too often, I’d look to see how Sam was getting on. Condolences to his friends and family, he was an unforgettable man.

It has been our immense good fortune to have been able to call Sam a friend. Kind, caring and outgoing, Sam wore an enormous intellect so lightly that you always felt comfortable in his company, partly because he had a knack of using his wickedly sharp and dry humour to put you at ease. Sam was a loyal and generous friend, team mate and WHHC Legend in all senses. He revelled in solving problems and was always excellent company, whether in sporting challenges or over a pint or two.
