1975-2024

Sam died unexpectedly in a fall while walking in Snowdonia on 7th June 2024.  There are no words to describe how much we will miss him.

If you would like to remember him please leave messages and photos below and, if you can, join us at his funeral on the 5th July.

We request that people do not send flowers, but instead donate to Marlow Rowing Club - we would love to buy them a boat in Sam's memory.

Thoughts

Dear family & friends of Sam, I had the privilege to work alongside Sam something like 15 years ago. You can easily guess that this was a consulting "nightmare as usual", the pressure was huge, lifestyle crazy - but still, Sam's true kindness was a compass for all of us. Thanks to Sam, I felt welcomed, I felt I could forget one second my armour of arrogance and share the true pleasure to try new things, have fun and grow under the kind guidance of Sam. Sam's exceptional personality has left an imprint on me, and probably on all of us, that time will not erase. He's surely keeping a protecting eye on us from where he is. RIP my friend.

Dear Sam’s family and colleagues, we at EPAM were immensely saddened by the news of Sam’s untimely passing. Sam has been an integral part of our journey at the bank over the last years. Sam displayed characteristics that we all should aspire to. Sam was focused and driven but always strove to connect on a personal level and make us feel valued and appreciated. Sam was incredibly astute but with that intelligence brought humility and empathy in every interaction. Whilst Sam was incredibly busy, he was always generous with his time, taking time out of his busy schedule to make time for us and build those personal connections. Sam was a role model for all of us and set the standard on how to interact with others and will be deeply missed. Our thoughts are with you in what must be an impossibly difficult time.
EPAM team.
